    Gebruik van die Nederduits Gereformeerde Kerk, Rustenburg, as 'n hospitaal
Toe die Britse troepe gedurende Mei 1900 Rustenburg beset het, het die bevelvoerder, gen. Baden-Powell, die pasvoltooide kerkgebou van die NG Gemeente gebruik as militêre hospitaal. Ongeveer 85 soldate het in die gebou gesterf. Ses Victoriakruise is in die kerk oorhandig aan offisiere en manskappe wat in die gebou verpleeg is. Verskeie boerekrygers is ook hier behandel en 6 is hier oorlede. Almal is in die plaaslike ou kerkhof begrawe."

    Interior of the Dutch Reformed Church, Rustenburg, used as a hospital.
When the British troops occupied Rustenburg during May 1900, the commander, Gen. Baden-Powell, used the newly built church building of the Dutch Reformed Church, as a military hospital. About 85 soldiers died in the building. Six Victoria Crosses were awarded to officers and troops in the building. Several boer soldiers were also treated here and 6 died here. All were buried in the local old cemetery.
