Summary[edit]

Description
English: Eglwys Maelrhys Sant Llanfaelrhys High above Porth Ysgo, the church of St Maelrhys is still in occasional use. It is a single, rectangular building and must have been very primitive for most of its existence; the small windows on this south wall and the larger east window and the small windows around the west door were only opened in the 19th century, at the same time as the bell cote was added. There are no windows in the north wall.

For information on St Maelrhys see http://www.st-hywyn.org.uk/maelrhys.htm

This is the only church in Britain dedicated to the Breton Saint Maelrhys, who came to Wales with his cousins St Cadfan and St Hywyn.
