Summary[edit]

Description This brilliant diorama depicts the emergence and growth of a typical railway tow. Note the grain storage silos on one side of the train and the rest of the town on the other side of the track. A train is visible just behind the rightmost silo at the extreme right. Wonder if the modern unscrupulous real estate sharks will allow so much open space near the railway! (Ottawa, Canada, Dec. 2012)
