Description
English: Erikoissammutusyksikkö SM 15, special fire engine used by Finnish military. Specially designed for combating fires in ammunition dumps or other explosive areas, built on Pasi armoured personnel carrier. Equipped with 8.5 meter long grip arm (capacity 100 kg) with a camera (12x zoom, both day/night use), halogen light and Rosenbauer RM8E water cannon. Self-protection water cannon Rosenbauer RM8E (1000 l/min/10 bar) with a range of 42 meters and 270 degree traverse. Impulse Fire Extinguishing System (IFEX) with 2 x 12 l/25 bar, range 60 meters, initial velocity 120 m/s. Inside the vehicle is a hydraulic water pump Esteri D-16/19 (1600 l/min/10 bar), 1500 l water tank, remote operating system and the controls for pump, water cannons and the grip arm. Attached to Finnish Navy Archipelago Sea Naval Command military fire department.
Suomi: Suomen puolustusvoimien käytössä oleva erikoissammutusyksikkö SM 15. Pasi-miehistönkuljetusajoneuvon rakenteelle tehty erityisesti ammusvarikkojen ja muiden räjähtävien kohteiden sammutukseen suunniteltu sammutusajoneuvo. Autossa on 8,5 metrin pituinen nostokouralla (100 kg), kameralla (12x zoom, sekä yö- että päiväkäyttö), halogeenivalolla ja Rosenbauer RM8E vesitykillä varustettu käsivarsi. Omasuoja-vesitykkinä on Rosenbauer RM8E (1000 l/min/10 bar), kantama 42 metriä, kääntösäde 270 astetta. IFEX-mikroimpulssisammutin, 2 x 12 l/25 bar, kantama 60 metriä, lähtönopeus 120 m/s. Vaunun sisällä on hydraulinen palopumppu Esteri D-16/19 (1600 l/min/10 bar), 1500 litran vesisäiliö, kaukokäyttöyksikkö sekä palopumpun, vesitykkien, käsivarren ja nostokouran ohjaus. Vaunu kuuluu Saaristomeren meripuolustusalueen sotilaspalokuntaan.
