Description
English: Exo-Skin Soft Haptic exoskeletal interface, developed by Shima Seiki Haute Technology Laboratory of Drexel University, displayed as part of the museum exhibition Second Skin: The Science of Stretch at the Chemical Heritage Foundation, on view from November 4, 2016 to May 13, 2017. The knitted glove is woven of fibers of nylon, spandex, and PET, and then heated to solidify fibers in the support segments. It can be programmed to move a person's hand through a series of exercises. At the same time it gathers data to create a 3D model of movements and adjust motion.
