This is a species og Golden Silk orb-web spider - Nephalia pilipes jalorensis (India). This poc is taken at an altitude of 3000ft amidst the coffee plantastions of Coorg at The Tamara Resorts, Kabbinakad Estate. Photo shiws the ventral side of the female spider. The female is large in size (> 20mm) as compared to male (5-10mm). |
