Summary[edit]

Description HMAS Albatross held an open day and air show to celebrate the twenty first anniversary of the Naval Air Station at Nowra. The Navy had a well deserved reputation for having the best air shows in NSW and this day was no exception. There was a huge attendance and it took some hours to cover the few kilometres into Nowra at the end of the day. The return to Sydney that night was bumper to bumper traffic all the way. Here a UH-1 Iroquois (Huey) helicopter carries the birthday key.
