| Description |
December 27, 2008 During the Gaza takeover in June 2007 Hamas took control of this building which now houses Hamas terrorists. The place is used for stockpiling weapons and other military equipment. BRDM armored vehicles that Hamas took from the Palestinian Authority during the Gaza takeover in June 2007 are also located in this area. Hamas has utilized these vehicles for the terrorist operation that took place at the Kerem Shalom crossing on April 19, 2008 where seven IDF soldiers from the Desert Reconnaissance Battalion were injured. In addition, the headquarters are used as Hamas's central interrogation facility where it detains Fatah personnel, as well as Palestinian government and security officials identified as supporting Fatah. This facility is the point of departure for Hamas terrorists before they carry out terrorist activity. |
