DescriptionFlickr - The U.S. Army - Landing.jpg |
Capt. John Thomas, the commander of Company D, 1st Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, prepares to land on Holland Drop Zone May 5 on Fort Bragg. The jump was one of several conducted by the brigade to maintain proficiency in airborne operations before deploying to Afghanistan later this summer. "No mater what, we are still the 82nd Airborne Division," Thomas said. "It's important for Paratroopers not to lose sight of the fact that at any time we have to be ready to rapidly deploy. We are the nation's strategic response force." (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. Stephen Decatur) See more at Army.mil |
