| Description | Hall of Consolation – The building was constructed in the Ming Dynasty. A huge crystal stone is placed in front of the hall, implying frankness, open-heartiness and purity. When the emperor lived in the Hall of Mental Cultivation, the empress also lived in this hall. The houses in the east were the temporary residences for imperial concubines. |
