| Description |
English: Former Marshalls newagency, Belfast Once upon a time Marshalls, in Donegall Street, was the only newsagents in Belfast to sell foreign-language magazines and newspapers. It also seemed to have a policy of not doing returns of unsold magazines which meant that it was the place to find a back-number of the Railway Magazine (or, indeed, many other similarly esoteric publications). Some of the higher shelves had old jig-saws, in faded boxes but with the cellophane wrappers still intact. It was possible to browse without the feeling that you were suspected of being a shoplifter and without being asked can I help yew?.
This is all thats left the owners having long-since retired. |
