Description
English: A Forward Air Controller of the Green Howards Regiment is pictured using a Forward Control Applicator during Exercise Tropical Storm in Belize.

The FAC operator is the pilots eyes on the ground (or in the air) and guides the attack aircraft in delivering air-to-ground ordnance against a target to achieve as accurate fire as possible, in low level attacks where it's effort is best needed.
