English: A small vessel underway 25 miles off the coast of Somalia just prior to capsizing, into the Gulf of Aden. Eighty-nine people survived the incident, with 5 pronounced dead on the scene. U.S. Navy guided missile cruiser USS Normandy (CG 60), coastal patrol ship USS Typhoon (PC 5), coastal patrol ship USS Firebolt (PC 10) and German frigate FGS Karlsruhe (F 212) are assisting in the rescue effort. |
