Ein GPS-Empfänger empfängt die Signale mehrerer GPS-Satelliten gleichzeitig. Dargestellt sind 2 Satelliten (rot und grün). Ein Bit der GPS-Nachricht ist 20 Codeblöcke lang (von denen jeder 1023 Bit lang ist). Dargestellt ist das nur mit 5 Codeblöcken. Die Codeblöcke unterscheiden sich, je nachdem, ob das übertragene Bit 0 oder 1 ist. Dieser Unterschied ist hier dargestellt als ausgefülltes Dreieck nach oben oder unten.
