| Description | The building which houses the Glendale Baptist Church, at 131 West 128th Street, between Lenox Avenue and Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard was originally the Manhattan Stables and later became stables for the New York Police Department. The congregation, founded in 1947 as the Zion Baptist Church, worshiped at several locations before New York City sold them the building for $1, moved into the basement of the building in 1954.
