Summary[edit]

Description Government Center station headhouse in 1964, from the Boston Redevelopment Authority's Government Center Urban Renewal Project files. The station had been rebuilt the previous year as part of the larger project to turn dirty Scollay Square into City Hall Plaza. The station still carries the M.T.A. header sign; the MBTA would take over operations in August 1964.
