Description

Schwarzbacher Strasse 3

98673 Merbelsrod, Germany. Owner Clivia Wurmehl. Founded in 1935 by Ewald Schmidt, subsequently running in conjunction with VEB Kraftverkehr Hildburghausen by the son, Horst, following the death of the founder in 1958,in the extreme south of the DDR. In 1991, a new business LVK GmbH Hildburghausen was founded, and modern vehicles purchased (i.e. non-Ikarus). In 2000, the granddaughter continued the business assisted by her two sons. history here with nice pre-war photo. Merbelsrod lies between Schleusingen and Eisfeld in the Thueringerwald.
