Summary[edit]

Description
English: Anchor plaque of HMCS Bonaventure (CVL 22) @ Royal Military College Saint Jean, Saint Jean sur Richelieu, Quebec, Canada. HMCS Bonaventure (CVL 22) was a Majestic class aircraft carrier built for the Royal Navy as HMS Powerful. She served in the Royal Canadian Navy and Canadian Forces Maritime Command from 1957 to 1970 and was the third and the last aircraft carrier to serve Canada. The anchor depicted is the starboard anchor of "The Bonnie" and is located by the Massey Building, <<Les Forges>> Musée Fort-Saint-Jean Pavillion. The anchor of "The Bonnie" was donated to the museum by the Canadian Forces Maritime Command on 6 May 1998.

"The anchor shown in the image is the HMCS Bonaventure starboard side anchor and it is situated next to the Maisonneuve building. The HMS Fury anchors are on the northeastern corner of the Royal Military College Saint-Jean parade square". Quote: Eric Ruel, Conservateur, Musée du Fort Saint-Jean.
