Description
Deutsch: Der mit Kohle beladene Frachter Maranta und sein festverbundener Schubleichter Maranta II sind am 19. August 2013 gegen 16:20 Uhr in Köln auf der "Deutzer Platte", einer Untiefe zwischen der Severinsbrücke und Deutzer Brücke bei Rheinkilometer 687,5, auf Grund gelaufen.

Maranta war das vierte Schiff innerhalb von 24 Stunden, das hier auf Grund lief. Zuvor war die Tanker Piz Palü, Newton und der Frachter Emma aufgelaufen. Diese Schiffe konnten von dem über 3000 PS-starken Containerschiff Henri-R freigeschleppt werden - bei Maranta gelang dieses selbst zusammen mit dem 1800-PS-starken Tankmotorschiff Citrine allerdings wegen des zu hohen Gewichts nicht, sodass die Ladung zur Gewichtsreduzierung am 20. August 2013 auf ein anderes Schiff umgeladen werden musste.

Die Bergung dauerte bis zum Nachmittag. Danach wurde die Fahrrinne von Baggerschiff Josef Lülsdorf ausgebaggert, sodass die Schifffahrtsperre zwischen der Hohenzollernbrücke und der Rodenkirchener Autobahnbrücke nach Vermessung der Fahrrinne durch das Peilschiff Mercator um 19:30 Uhr freigegeben werden konnte. Von der Schiffahrtsperre waren ca. 100 Schiffe betroffen.
