Deutsch: Nach dem Scheitern des Düsseldorfer Heinrich-Heine-Denkmals ließ Kaiserin Elisabeth 1892 in ihrer Mittelmeerresidenz Achilleion auf Korfu für sich persönlich ein eigens angefertigtes Heinrich-Heine-Denkmal von Louis Hasselriis errichten, das einen leidenden und kränkelnden Heinrich Heine als Lazarus zeigt. Kaiser Wilhelm II., der nach der Ermordung Elisabeths von Österreich-Ungarn, die Villa auf Korfu erwarb, ließ das Heine-Denkmal Ostern 1908 entfernen, dass nach Zwischenstationen in Hamburg 1908 und Altona 1927 schließlich auf Veranlassung der Künstlerin Olivia Bouchard, geb. Campe, im Botanischen Garten in Toulon aufgestellt wurde.
