| Description |
English: Herring Gull, Polperro Once upon a time, gulls would have dined on the huge pilchard catch which was brought into the harbour.However, these 'shining shoals' have long disappeared.
Also gone are the days of thriving smuggling for which this coastline was famous. There is a very interesting museum telling of the latter. |
