Description
English: Puck magazine issue from 28th October 1896. Cartoon showing on the left, William J. Bryan holding paper, "We denounce arbitrary interference by federal authorities, in local affairs, as a violation of the Constitution, etc." as he faces Tillman, Altgeld, Debs, and J.P. Jones, who are raising flag, "dis-order and mis-rule"; on the right, Jefferson Davis holds paper reading the same, as he faces Abraham Lincoln and the Union Army. Lithograph color print.
