Description
Deutsch: Statuen bedeutender Hochmeister des Deutschen Ordens: Herrmann von Salza, Winrich von Kniprode, Siegfried von Feuchtwangen und Albrecht von Brandenburg. Die Figuren zierten den Sockel des am 8. Oktober 1877 eingeweihten Denkmals für Friedrich den Großen. Das Denkmal, nach einem Entwurf des Berliner Bildhauers Rudolf Siemering bei Gladenbeck in Friedrichshagen in Bronze gegossen, stand ursprünglich vor dem Tor des Mittelschlosses. Nach 1945 wurde das Bronze-Standbild des Preußenkönigs eingeschmolzen. Lediglich die Assistenzfiguren blieben verschont. Heute stehen die Hochmeisterfiguren im Hof des Mittelschlosses der westpreußischen Marienburg. -
