Deutsch: Ehemaliges Postamt im Hagener Stadtteil Hohenlimburg, Herrenstraße 3. Erbauer war der Oestricher Bauunternehmer Liesenhoff, der das Gebäude 1887 an die Post vermietete. 1904 erhält es mit einem zusätzlichen Stockwerk sein heutiges Aussehen. 1905 fährt der letzte Pferde-Postwagen vom Hof. 1907 kauft die Post das Gebäude für 85.000 Mark. 1910 gab es 227 Telefonanschlüsse und es mußten schon 5 Millionen ein- und ausgehende Briefe, 250.000 Pakete und 226.000 Telegramme von 46 Beamten bewältigt werden. 1962 wurde das Postamt Letmathe mit Hohenlimburg vereinigt, es gab 145 Mitarbeiter. 1975 wird Hohenlimburg verwaltungsmäßig dem PA Hagen unterstellt, Letmathe dem PA Iserlohn. 1980 neue Bezeichnung Postamt „5800 Hagen 5”, täglich 20.000 Briefe. Nach der Umstrukturierung der Deutschen Post wurde das Gebäude Anfang der 2000er Jahre aufgegeben, nach Umbau und Renovierung beherbergt es heute Büros und eine Praxis. |
