Description This picture reminds me of a BR poster I saw years ago advertising (prematurely as it turned out) the new APT services north. Even after all these years the Advanced Passenger Train still looks outstandingly modern. Like so many British visionary projects lack of foresight and confidence let this superb train down. Once again Britain paid the price for being ahead of the rest of the World.
