English: "Jintsu", light cruiser of the Imperial Japanese Navy, collided with destroyer "Warabi" in night training, August 24, 1927. "Warabi" was sunk at once and "Jintsu" was damaged at bow. This photo was taken a few days later at Maizuru.
日本語: 昭和2年(1927年)8月24日、島根県美保が関沖で夜間襲撃訓練をしていた「神通」は、同じく訓練中の駆逐艦「蕨」の中央部に衝突した。「蕨」は瞬時に沈没、「神通」も艦首を損傷した(美保が関事件)。この写真は舞鶴工作部での撮影で、入港直後の26日と推定される。 |
