Summary[edit]

Description
English: A package of “invert sugar cream” (German: Invertzuckercreme), a creamy, honey-flavoured variety of inverted saccharose made as an artificial replacement for honey as a spread or for baking. This used to be legally called “artificial honey” (Kunsthonig) in the Federal Republic of Germany until 1979, when the current designation was introduced. This picture is mainly intended to show how this sort of product is labelled in Germany nowadays, in accordance with standard industry practices. The specimen in the picture contains 20 per cent real honey, as is indicated on the package, inside the red star. Non German speaking readers may be interested to learn that the brand name “Wibine” sounds precisely like the German expression “wie Biene,” meaning “like bee.”
