Jenny-Mai Nuyen wurde 1988 als Tochter deutsch-vietnamesischer Eltern in München geboren. Geschichten schreibt sie, seit sie fünf ist, und mit dreizehn verfasste sie ihren ersten Roman. Als großer Fantasy-Fan hat Jenny-Mai Nuyen alles verschlungen, was es an literarischen Vorbildern gab: von Lloyd Alexander über Michael Ende bis zu Jonathan Stroud und Christopher Paolini. Seit ihrem literarischen DebütNijura – Das Erbe der Elfenkrone wird sie als eine der aufregendsten Entdeckungen der letzten Jahre gefeiert. Nach einem Filmstudium an der New York University lebt Jenny-Mai Nuyen heute in Berlin und widmet sich ganz dem Schreiben.
