Description
English: Captain Josiah Tattnall, CSN. Artwork reproduced as a halftone in Fiveash, "Virginia-Monitor Engagement", Norfolk, Va., 1907. He commanded CSS Virginia following her battle with USS Monitor, and later was in charge of the Naval defenses of Georgia.
