Deutsch: Die denkmalgeschützte Köthener Brücke führt in Berlin-Kreuzberg die Köthener Straße vom Reichpietschufer/Halleschen Ufer zum Schöneberger Ufer über den Landwehrkanal. Die Eisenbogen-Konstruktion mit einer Spannweite von 20,10 m wurde 1910 westlich des 1959/60 zugeschütteten Schöneberger Hafens von Arno Körnig und Friedrich Krause erbaut. Im verzierten, gusseisernen Geländer ist unter anderem ein Medaillon mit dem Bildnis eines Bären eingelassen. Parallel und oberhalb der am U-Bahnhof Mendelssohn-Bartholdy-Park gelegenen Straßenbrücke verläuft die Hochbahnbrücke der U-Bahnlinie 2.
English: The Köthener Brücke is crossing the Landwehrkanal (canal) in Berlin-Kreuzberg, Germany. The listed steel arch bridge was built in 1910 and is a part of the Köthener Straße. Parallel and above of the street bridge, which is situated nearby the U-station Mendelssohn-Bartholdy-Park, crosses the elevated bridge of the Underground line U2 the canal. |
