Description
English: The painting of Matthias Grunewald’s ‘Crucifixion‘ scene from the Isenheim Altar. Barth's entire theology was Christocentric and what Barth liked about this painting was the long finger that pointed to Christ while holding the scriptures. (Below hangs a picture of Barth's after, Fritz Barth.)
