Kavaljersvärja, ca 1550-1600 - LRK 10028

Description

Svenska: Fäste av mörkanlöpt, slätt stål, uppbyggt utan handbygel. Knapp stor, tryckt päronformig, nitknappen sönderslagen (fattas), nithuvudet synligt i ett plant, ojämnt rundat fält. Parerstänger långa, raka, svagt nedåtböjda och med päronformigt vidgade ytterändar. Pareranordning i övrigt bestående av: vid kryssets utsida en rak utstående, halvt cirkelformig parerplåt med ett längsgående, rektangulärt hål vid krysset, utanför parerplåten en kryssbygel. Tämligen höga fingerbyglar, nedtill förenade med en tvärbygel. Vid kryssets insida en nedåtböjd tumbygel anslutande till den övre av tre parerstänger, denna spång ansluten baktill till bakre fingerbygelns mitt, de två övriga svängda bakåt-nedåt och anslutande till fingerbyglarnas nedre ändar. Kavellindning av tvinnad, tunn mässingstråd (söndrig).

Klinga rak, lång, tvåeggad, slipad med sexsidigt tvärsnitt utom vid spetspartiet, som har mjukt rundad mittås. Ricasso av ca 50 mm längd med ca 30 mm smalt (nedslipat) basparti. Utmed ricasson och klingans basparti en ca 155 lång hålkäl, i denna på båda sidor instansat: "I H S" (Iesus Hominum Salvator, Jesus människornas frälsare). På det bredare partiet av ricasson en två gånger på varje sida inslagen mästarstämpel i form av ett med öppen krona krönt bokstavstecken liknande den ryska bokstaven L eller det grekiska pi.
