| Description |
English: Down train approaching Kidsgrove station, 1999. View southward, towards Stoke-on-Trent etc.: ex-North Stafford main lines, Stoke etc. - Manchester via Congleton/Crewe. This is Harecastle Junction - the station having been called 'Harecastle' until 10/44, the junction of the two routes northward. The train is headed towards Manchester, on the line electrified in 1965; the Crewe line was not electrified until 2003. |
