Description
Svenska: Skålformig kopp med fat och dekor av ett rutmönster i guld; i rutorna blommor i omväxlande rött och blått på glasyren. En unik kopp, signerad i guld med årtalet 1888 utskrivet, vilket inte vanligtvis förekom. Den har på koppens insida en guldmålad spetsbård. Det ytterst komplicerade handmålade mönstret väcker beundran för sin mästaruppvisning i måleri och koppen fick representera fabrikens porslinstillverkning på Världsutställningen 1889 i Paris. Måleriet består av spiralvridna linjer i guld som bildar ett nätverk av små romber i olika storlekar, störst längst ut vid brättet och mindre mot mitten. I varje liten romb är målat en blomma, i ömsom rosa, ömsom blått. Hela koppen går i rosa, blått och guld. Motivet förminskas efterhand som romberna blir mindre, för att till slut närma sig rent miniatyrmåleri. Den köptes först 1897, troligen i ambition att tillföra samlingen ett glansnummer. Fabrikens privilegium utfärdades 1729, dess verksamhet synes dock ha börjat redan 1726. Intill 1860-talet tillverkades endast fajans av olika slag, från 1857 även benäkta porslin samt från 1881 fältspatäkta porslin. Fabriken flyttades 1926 till Göteborg. Pris: 60 Kr.
