Description

Detail of dragon sculpture on Kurama

This dragon was installed in 2003.

It appears in front of Tenporin-do/Lotus Wheel hall, just south/down from the main temple complex of Kurama Mountain Temple

It is part of the Shinto purification shrine where you symbolically purify yourself by rinse your hands and mouth, before sitting in front of the Buddha in the Tenporin-do, or head up to the main Buddhist temple.
