Lake freighters Quebecois, Tim S. Dool, Montrealais, late afternoon, Toronto, 2012 03 21 -a.jpg These three vessels were moored in Toronto all winter. The arrived riding low. The Quebecois and Tim S. Dool are riding so high their bow thrusters are completely exposed. During the winter they each spent four of five days having raw sugar unloaded from their holds. Last year there were nine lakers moored in Toronto over the winter. I wait all winter for it to get cold enough for the harbour to freeze over. But it never got that cold. |
