| Description |
Two days before they were flown off to be either stored or sold on, i visited the last three F-16's at Twenthe Airbase being readied for that in some cases final trip. The base was already closed and abandoned, but for a few crewchiefs working on these birds. They all were flown on the 6th of june (2 days after my visit) to Volkel Airbase to be processed further. The fate of J-251: www.f-16.net/aircraft-database/F-16/airframe-profile/251/ The fate of J-253: www.f-16.net/aircraft-database/F-16/airframe-profile/253/ The fate of J-269: www.f-16.net/aircraft-database/F-16/airframe-profile/269/ J-269 has been sold to the Royal Jordanian Air Force and still active, the other two are in storage or already scrapped. |
