| Description |
English: Laura Ami (or Amoy) Kekuakapuokekuaokalani Ena Coney (1844-1929). Daughter of Chinese merchant John Lawai Ena and Hawaiian chiefess Kaikilanialiiwahineopuna. Married at the age of 17 to American John Harvey Coney. Described as "an exceptionally fine woman of high character, gracious manner, generous instincts and kind disposition..." She taught her children to not speak of their noble lineage. She and her family lived in Halelelea in Honolulu. |
