Description

Les ruines du temple de Vesta, à gauche, et du temple des Dioscures, à droite

Le temple de Vesta était le lieu de conservation par les Vestales du feu sacré, symbole de la vie de la ville. Son origine remonte au second Roi de Rome : Numa Pompilius. Le temple était circulaire avec une ouverture en haut, comme les premières habitations.
