| Description |
English: Leitholm Peel. The remains of Leitholm Peel, a 16th century tower-house. The tower is situated close by the village of Leitholm. The overgrown remains of one gable-end wall still stand to a height of about twenty feet. It is recorded as being razed by the English in 1545 during the Earl of Hertford's destructive raid on the Scottish Borders that year. |
