| Description |
English: Leonid Shvetsov, age 43,[1] at Botha's Hill before achieving 5th place in his 2012 return to the Comrades. He is here traced by Mthandazo Qhina, 03:11 into the race. Shvetsov from Saratov, Russia, set the records for both the down and up run in 2007 and 2008 respectively, and finished 2nd after Muzhinghi in 2009.[2] In 2010 he denied any involvement with performance-enhancing drugs after accusations that he offered other athletes erythropoietin (EPO) and clenbuterol while in Albuquerque, USA.[3] |
