Aus Clauswitz/Zögner Die Pläne von Berlin (S. 13):

„Der kurfürstliche Kammerrat Andreas Lindholz, aus dessen Nachlass jene Papiere stammen sollen, starb 1703. Der Plan ist in einem photolithografischen getreuen Abbild durch den Verein für die Geschichte Berlins veröffentlicht [..] Das Original hat man offenbar als eine unvollständige und flüchtige Kopie eines aufgemessenen Planes vom Stadtgebiet, soweit es von den auszuführenden Werken begrenzt wurde, anzusehen. Von jenem aufgemessenen Plane ist leider jede Spur verloren gegangen. Die erhaltene Kopie hatte ersichtlich nur den Zweck, die Festungswerke zu skizzieren, macht aber doch größtenteils die einzelnen Grundstücke und Häuser in der Stadt erkennbar und ist daher selbst in ihrer Unvollkommenheit für uns von großem Wert. Die Festungsanlagen sind nur flüchtig angedeutet, doch erkennt man, daß die Faussebraye durch alle Bastionen und Kurtinen läuft, was in Wirklichkeit nicht ausgeführt wurde.“
