Summary[edit]

Description
English: Lovelace Memorial Historic memorial, about 6 feet high, in Hurley's parish church. The Lovelaces lived in nearby Ladye Place. Depicts "Richard Lovelace (1542–1601) and Sir Richard Lovelace (1565–1634), his son and heir. Richard was Lord Lieutenant of the County of Berkshire and Constable of Windsor Castle. Sir Richard was knighted in Dublin at the 'wars against ye Irish'. He was created 1st Lord Lovelace of Hurley in 1627 by Charles I. He erected the memorial." (Paul Dykes[1]). Lord John Lovelace was one of the plotters bringing about the "Glorious Revolution" of 1688. See also[2].
