1. Débitage d'un grand éclat (B) à partir d'un bloc A.

2. Préparation d'un plan de frappe (rectification de l'angulation entre plan de frappe et face inférieure de B)

3. Extraction de l'éclat Kombewa (C) à partir de l'éclat-nucléus (B).

4. Eclat kombewa (C)

Les schémas du haut sont vus en section, ceux du bas en vue ventrale.

NB : L'exemple choisi ci-dessus illustre le cas où les directions de percussion de l'éclat-nucléus et de l'éclat Kombewa sont parfaitement parallèles et de même sens.
