English: Memorial to Sir William Shipley Conwy This is in the churchyard of St Mary's parish Church, Rhuddlan. The descent of this family is claimed from Sir William Conias, High Constable of England under William I, who was granted land in Yorkshire. William ordered the Coniers of that time to go to Rhuddlan to help in the building of the Castle. |
