| Description |
English: Mere east of Tarporley Road, near Whitchurch. A marshy area at an elevation of around 95 metres lies between Tarporley Road and Alport Road/Terrick Road, to the north east of the town of Whitchurch. This view from the public footpath between Tarporley Road and Terrick Road, shows the pasture sloping down to a mere (centre; not shown on the OS 1:25,000) and an area of marshland (right; see also 1231224). A group of Canada geese were foraging in the sloping pasture (foreground). Details of the mere are shown in 1231233 & 1231246 |
