Description	English: Principle of a simplified microscope: the object AB is placed in front of a convergent lens L₁, the objective, further than the focal length; this gives a magnified image A′B′; this image is in the focal plane of a convergence lens L₂, the occular, so the image is at the "infinite" (it is more confortable for the eye, modelled here by a convergent lens); the yellow area show the beam of light that goes from the point B to the eye, the green lines show how to build the images Français : Principe d'un microscope simplifié: l'objet AB est placé devant une lentille convergente L₁, l'objectif, au-delà de la distance focale ; cela donne une image agrandie A′B′ ; cette image est dans le plan focal d'une lentille convergente L₂, l'occulaire, afin que l'image se forme « à l'infini » (ce qui est plus confortable pour l'œil, modélisé ici par une lentille convergente) ; la surface jaune montre le faisceau lumineux qui va du point B au fond de l'œil, les traits verts sont les traits de construction permettant de déterminer l'image
