| Description |
English: The A3055 Military Road, Isle of Wight, seen from a Southern Vectis bus on route 7, on the road near Brook, while heading for Alum Bay. The bus was 1110 (HW58 ASV). From the timetable change on 5 September 2010, this section of route 7 was withdrawn, and replaced by a more limited service on new route 12. This is the section of road at Brook where the cliff has fallen, coming very close to the road, forcing it to become single-file with temporary traffic lights. Unfortunately, the lights were broken here, stuck on a red light that was visibly blinking, so the bus driver had to go through them on red. According to him, "if they stay like that for 30 seconds, you know they've broken", which suggests that it is a common occurrence. |
