Summary[edit]
DescriptionMill Road - geograph.org.uk - 360858.jpg |
English: Mill Road Originally Second Street. Unlike other older towns the plan for New Winchelsea included wider roads and large plots between the houses that gives the town a spacious feel and have largely remained unaltered since the 13th century. The reasoning behind the wider roads was fire hazards prone to strike older cramped and narrow medieval towns and cities. Taken from the junction with Hiham Green. |
