| Description |
English: An ootheca laid by Miomantis caffra on the inside of a peanut butter jar lid. I brought the mother down from Warkworth to Auckland, where I took the photo. I found her mating, but was a little surprised to find she had laid this. Their oothecae change colour over time, as you can see by looking at some other photos (just laid, old). (I was especially surprised to see she laid a second, smaller ootheca a number of days later, which I may also upload at some point.) |
